Why You Should Choose JustSwim’s Preschool Swimming Lessons in Singapore

At JustSwim, we believe every child deserves to learn how to swim in a way that feels safe, fun, and pressure-free, especially in their early years. That’s why our preschool swim program is built around emotional confidence, gentle structure, and real water safety skills.

Here’s why thousands of parents trust JustSwim to teach their little ones:

1. Gentle, Child-Loving Instructors Who Actually Get Kids

Our coaches are not just certified, they’re handpicked for their ability to connect with young children. We use positive reinforcement, playful cues, and heaps of patience. No shouting. No force.

2. Safe, Calm Environments Perfect for Little Learners

Lessons are held in quiet pools or your condo, where toddlers aren’t overwhelmed by splashing chaos or cold water. Each class is small and focused to keep things calm and nurturing.

3. Step-by-Step Progress

We follow a child-paced syllabus, which introduces floating, kicking, breathing, and water confidence one milestone at a time. That means fewer tears and more “I did it!” moments.

4. Real Water Safety Comes First, Not Just Playtime

While we keep things fun, we also teach important survival skills like safe entries, floating, and water awareness, giving your child a foundation they can rely on for life.

5. Flexible Scheduling for Busy Family Routines

Choose from morning, afternoon, or weekend sessions, at your condo or one of our partnered venues. No need to rush across town or compromise nap time.

Your Child's Safety Is Our Priority

We know that putting your child in the water, especially at a young age, can feel scary. That’s why every aspect of our preschool swimming program is built with safety at the core.

At JustSwim, your child’s emotional, physical, and water safety always comes first, even before technique.

Certified Coaches Specially Trained to Work With Preschoolers

Our instructors are NROC-certified and experienced in early childhood swim education. They’re trained to recognise fear cues, manage meltdowns, and create a calm, supportive environment where kids feel safe to try.

Small Class Sizes & One-On-One Attention

No overcrowded pools or ignored swimmers here. We keep classes small so every child gets the attention they need to stay safe and feel seen.

Gentle, Progress-Based Instruction

We never push a child beyond their comfort zone. Lessons are designed to build trust before technique, because safety starts with confidence, not pressure.

Parent Communication & Progress Updates

You’re never left in the dark. We’ll keep you informed about your child’s development, emotional readiness, and what to expect at each stage.

Clean, Controlled & Kid-Friendly Pool Environments

Lessons are held in warm, shallow, and low-distraction pools, either at your condo or one of our trusted partner locations, perfect for little ones learning to love the water.

What to Expect in a Typical Preschool Swimming Lesson

Every JustSwim preschool class is designed to be gentle, fun, and structured, helping your child develop water confidence one small step at a time. Our sessions are short, engaging, and perfectly suited for the attention span and comfort level of 3–6 year olds.

Here’s what a typical 30-minute preschool swim lesson looks like:

01

Welcome & Water Warm-Up (5 mins)

We start with a playful welcome routine, like singing, clapping, or light splashing, to help your child feel relaxed and excited. This sets the tone for a calm, happy class.

02

Confidence Check & Water Familiarity (5 mins)

Our coach gently checks how your child feels that day and guides them through fun, safe water exploration (bubbles, kicking, holding the wall) based on their comfort level.

03

Foundational Skill Practice (10–15 mins)

We introduce one or two swim skills per session, such as floating, kicking, blowing bubbles, or reaching for objects. Every skill is taught through play, games, and encouragement to build trust and engagement.

04

Group Play & Water Safety Cues (3–5 mins)

Children learn basic water safety in a fun way, like how to hold the edge, enter/exit the pool safely, and listen to pool rules, while playing simple games together.

05

Cool-Down & Goodbye Song (2–3 mins)

We finish with a gentle cool-down, praise for progress (big or small), and a fun goodbye song to end every session on a happy note.

We have been with Just Swim for two years+ for 1:1 swimming lessons. We started with Coach Darren, who taught our son. He was a great coach and our son picked up his swimming skills quickly and confidently. When we felt our son was ready to stop lessons, we enrolled our daughter with Coach Dorothy. Our daughter was initially resistant to learning, but with time, Coach Dorothy trained her well with the right balance of TLC and discipline. We are very happy to see that our daughter has now graduated and is able to swim and survive in the water. Thank you, Coach Darren and Coach Dorothy!!

Coach Jeff has been a fantastic swim coach for my son, Keita. Within a year, Keita learned front crawl, back crawl, and breaststroke. Jeff is very patient and great with kids, which made every lesson enjoyable. Keita always looked forward to his swimming classes and really had fun learning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great coach for their children.

How Are The Instructors Qualified?

Our instructors are certified in swimming instruction. They are registered with the National Registry Of Coaches Certification (NROC), AUSTSWIM, and Singapore Swimming Teachers’ Association certification (SSTA).

How Long Does Each Lesson Last, And How Often Are The Classes Held?

Each lesson lasts approximately 30 minutes, an optimal duration to keep young children engaged without overwhelming them. Classes are typically held once a week, but we offer several time slots to accommodate different schedules.
