The Mandatory Requirements For NROC Certification
Before you can teach in pools across Singapore, you need to be registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC), the official standard set by Sport Singapore.
We’ll walk you through each of these steps:
- At least 18 years of age (As of 1 Jan of that year)
- Proficient in at least four (4) swimming strokes:
- Freestyle
- Breaststroke
- Backstroke
- Butterfly
- Completed the following courses/accreditation:
- Lifesaving 123
- Basic Sports Science (BSS)
- SG-Coach Level 1 Theory
- SG-Coach Technical Level 1
- Must know how to conduct First Aid or CPR
- Optional: Bronze Medallion
