Deep-water entries: stride, compact jump, and shallow dive

What Is The Bronze Medallion And Why Do I Need It?
The Bronze Medallion is an advanced lifesaving certification recognised by the Singapore Life Saving Society (SLSS). It qualifies you to work as a certified lifeguard at pools, clubs, schools, and public swimming facilities across Singapore. It’s a key requirement for anyone pursuing paid or volunteer lifeguarding work.
How Long Does The Course Take To Complete?
JustSwim’s Bronze Medallion course is conducted over 3 weekend sessions, each lasting around 2 to 3 hours. You can choose from Saturday or Sunday classes, depending on availability.
What Are The Requirements To Join?
You must be at least 14 years old, have completed the Lifesaving 123 Awards, be able to swim 400 metres non-stop, tread water for 3 minutes, and retrieve objects from a pool depth of 1.8 metres. If you’re unsure whether you meet these requirements, we’ll help assess you before registration.
What Skills Will I Learn In The Course?
You’ll learn advanced aquatic rescue techniques, deep-water recovery, timed swims and tows, multiple victim management, and full CPR with rescue breathing. All lessons follow the official SLSS syllabus.
Will I Receive A Certificate After Passing?

Classes are held at centrally located swimming complexes in Singapore. The specific location and timing will be confirmed after you register, based on your preferred intake.
