We have been with Just Swim for two years+ for 1:1 swimming lessons. We started with Coach Darren, who taught our son. He was a great coach and our son picked up his swimming skills quickly and confidently. When we felt our son was ready to stop lessons, we enrolled our daughter with Coach Dorothy. Our daughter was initially resistant to learning, but with time, Coach Dorothy trained her well with the right balance of TLC and discipline. We are very happy to see that our daughter has now graduated and is able to swim and survive in the water. Thank you, Coach Darren and Coach Dorothy!!

Coach Jeff has been a fantastic swim coach for my son, Keita. Within a year, Keita learned front crawl, back crawl, and breaststroke. Jeff is very patient and great with kids, which made every lesson enjoyable. Keita always looked forward to his swimming classes and really had fun learning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great coach for their children.

Yes, our classes at Piermont Grand cater to young children and complete beginners. Coaches start with water familiarity, floating, and breathing before introducing strokes. Every session is structured to feel safe and encouraging.
Each session at Piermont Grand runs for 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the swimmer’s age. For children under four years old, lessons are kept to 30 minutes so younger learners stay comfortable and focused. Older children and adults train for up to 45 minutes, which allows more time for warm-up, skill practice, and feedback.
Children from around three years old can start at Piermont Grand. Younger learners benefit from short, playful sessions that build trust in the water. Lessons are always matched to your child’s developmental stage.
Yes, every class includes water safety alongside technique. Swimmers learn to stay calm, tread water, and return safely to the side. This is especially valuable for families living beside the waterway.
Yes, parents may watch from the poolside seating areas. Seeing progress first-hand is motivating for young swimmers. We ask that observation remains non-disruptive so children can focus on their coach.
Bring swimwear, goggles, a swim cap, a towel, and a water bottle. A change of clothes is useful for younger children. Kickboards, floats, and other aids are supplied by our coaches.
